Seahawks sign Trevon Diggs to active roster before 49ers game
Julian Neal moves to injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

The Seattle Seahawks signed cornerback Trevon Diggs from their practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday’s Week 5 game against the San Francisco 49ers. Official update.
Seattle placed rookie cornerback Julian Neal on injured reserve to make room on the 53-man roster. Neal suffered a hamstring injury in practice this week.
Diggs signed with Seattle in August and made his Seahawks debut in last week’s victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. He played nine defensive snaps in that game before Saturday’s move to the active roster.
The Seahawks also ruled out receiver Irv Charles after initially listing him as questionable. Charles remains on injured reserve. He returned to practice this week but has not been added to the 53-man roster.
Diggs was a second-round Dallas Cowboys draft pick in 2020. He has appeared in 68 games, including 64 starts, over his NFL career. He earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2021 and made the Pro Bowl that season and again in 2022.
