The Edmonton Oilers named Devon Levi their starting goaltender and promoted Trent Frederic to the second line in their projected lineup for Thursday’s home game against the Utah Mammoth.

Levi earned another start after making a career-high 39 saves in Tuesday’s 4–1 victory over the Kings. He opened his Oilers career 4–0–0, becoming the first goaltender in franchise history to win his first four games, according to Edmonton’s official lineup report.

Coach Mike Babcock placed Frederic with Jason Dickinson and Kasperi Kapanen. Frederic had an assist and 19 hits through seven games while averaging 9:34 of ice time.

Vasily Podkolzin remained alongside Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl on the top line. Babcock said Zach Hyman and Jake Walman were unavailable; Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Colton Dach were still recovering despite joining the morning skate.

Evan Bouchard was expected to remain available beside Mattias Ekholm on the top defensive pair. The Rogers Place game opens a home-and-away set with Utah.
