Jayden Daniels returned to practice with the Washington Commanders in England on Wednesday, but his availability against the Indianapolis Colts remains unresolved.
Washington’s official injury report listed the quarterback as limited with a left elbow injury. Coach Dan Quinn said the session would use a lighter jog-through format and that Daniels would have been limited had the team held a full practice, according to Pro Football Talk’s report of his news conference.
Daniels missed the Week 3 victory over Seattle after dislocating the elbow against Dallas. Marcus Mariota started in his place, giving Washington an experienced alternative while it evaluates Daniels’ progress.
The Commanders had already said Daniels would travel and participate in practice in some capacity. Wednesday’s work follows through on that plan; it does not settle who will start Sunday in London.
Washington’s first injury report of the week also listed running back Rachaad White as a non-participant with a shoulder injury. Frankie Luvu, Chig Okonkwo and Ben Sinnott were among the players listed as limited.
The quarterback decision remains the central question for the next phase of preparation. Daniels is back on the field, with subsequent practice participation and the team’s game-status announcement still to come.
