Eagles rule out Saquon Barkley for London game against Jaguars
Saquon Barkley’s hamstring injury leaves Will Shipley to lead Philadelphia’s backfield against Jacksonville at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Philadelphia Eagles ruled out Saquon Barkley on Friday for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London because of a hamstring injury.
Barkley left last week’s game against the Los Angeles Rams early and did not practice this week. Philadelphia is also without Tank Bigsby, who went on injured reserve after being hurt in the same game.
Will Shipley is expected to take the leading role in the backfield. The Eagles promoted Dameon Pierce from the practice squad to the active roster Wednesday, giving Shipley another running back alongside him for the trip.
Receivers DeVonta Smith and Hollywood Brown are out with hamstring and ankle injuries, respectively. Tight end Dallas Goedert and tackle Fred Johnson have been cleared to return after missing two games with knee injuries. Linebacker Zack Baun also returns after clearing the concussion protocol.
Sunday’s game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium kicks off at 7:30 a.m. Mountain Time, or 9:30 a.m. Eastern. NFL Network carries the national U.S. broadcast. Philadelphia’s Friday report does not establish a return date for Barkley beyond ruling him out of this game.
