Eagles rule out DeVonta Smith and Zack Baun against the Rams
Philadelphia will also be without Dallas Goedert. Dontayvion Wicks and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. are expected to take on larger roles.

The Eagles ruled out DeVonta Smith and Zack Baun for Sunday’s home game against the Rams, leaving Philadelphia without its starting receiver and linebacker after both missed the full practice week.
Smith has a hamstring injury and Baun is in concussion protocol. Philadelphia’s Friday injury report also lists Dallas Goedert, Hollywood Brown, Fred Johnson and Marcus Epps as out.
The absences create more work for Dontayvion Wicks and Makai Lemon in the passing game. The team expects Jeremiah Trotter Jr. to start alongside Jihaad Campbell at linebacker. Campbell was limited Friday with a knee/rest listing but received no game designation.
Saturday roster update: Philadelphia elevated tight ends Josiah Deguara and Zach Ertz from the practice squad. With Goedert unavailable, they join E.J. Jenkins and Johnny Mundt as the team’s tight-end options for Sunday.
The Rams expect Puka Nacua to return after missing two games with hip and groin injuries. Aaron Donald, Jaylen Watson and Terrance Ferguson are out, while Colby Parkinson is questionable.
Kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field is 1 p.m. ET Sunday, October 4, or 11 a.m. MT. FOX has the U.S. broadcast.
