Caleb Williams returns to practice, questionable for Packers game
Williams practiced on a limited basis Friday, while Tyson Bagent remains the announced starter and Kyle Monangai is ruled out.

Caleb Williams returned to practice on a limited basis Friday and is questionable for the Chicago Bears’ game at Green Bay on Sunday, October 11, the team announced.
It was Williams’ first practice since injuring his hamstring against Minnesota in Week 2. His return does not change Chicago’s announced starting quarterback: coach Ben Johnson said Monday that Tyson Bagent will start against the Packers.
The Bears ruled out running back Kyle Monangai with a toe injury sustained in last Sunday’s 23–12 victory over the Jets. Johnson described Monangai as week to week. Monangai had rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns in that game.
D’Andre Swift practiced fully Friday and has no game designation after dealing with hip and knee issues earlier in the week. With Monangai unavailable, Roschon Johnson moves to the second spot on Chicago’s running back depth chart.
Rookie linebacker Keyshaun Elliott is also out with a quadriceps injury.
