Patriots place Mack Hollins and Reggie Gilliam on injured reserve
New England activates Brenden Schooler and promotes Kindle Vildor as part of its October 10 roster moves.

The New England Patriots placed wide receiver Mack Hollins and fullback Reggie Gilliam on injured reserve Saturday as part of a series of changes to their active roster.
New England also activated safety Brenden Schooler from the reserve/non-football injury list and signed cornerback Kindle Vildor from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, according to the team announcement.
Schooler had been on the reserve list since August 30. His activation gives the Patriots another available safety after more than a month outside the active roster.
Vildor played in New England’s previous game against Buffalo and recorded two tackles. The 29-year-old had appeared in 81 career games, including 27 starts, before the promotion.
The Patriots also elevated linebacker K.J. Britt and safety Elliott Davison from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.
The roster announcement did not provide recovery timetables for Hollins or Gilliam. Their placements confirm the roster changes without establishing when either player will be able to return.
