The Edmonton Oilers activated Jason Dickinson from injured reserve on Wednesday and placed Colton Dach on IR with an upper-body injury, the team announced.

Dickinson is set to make his season debut against the Anaheim Ducks after missing Edmonton’s first three games. The Oilers’ lineup report said the center had been recovering from an ankle injury sustained late last season.

He is expected to center a line with Trent Frederic and Kasperi Kapanen. Edmonton held an optional morning skate, so those combinations remain projected until warmups.

The game at Honda Center begins at 8 p.m. Mountain Time and opens Edmonton’s three-game California trip.
