Kubiak stands by fourth-down call in Raiders’ 30–27 loss
Klint Kubiak defended taking a field goal off the board to attempt fourth-and-2 in the third quarter of the Raiders’ 30–27 loss to Kansas City.

“We were going to be aggressive going into the game,” Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak said in the team’s written postgame report after Sunday’s 30–27 loss to Kansas City. “I don’t regret it. I regret not getting it.”
Las Vegas led 13–10 when Matt Gay made a 41-yard field goal on the opening drive of the third quarter. Kubiak accepted Kansas City’s illegal-formation penalty, removing the three points and leaving fourth-and-2 at the Chiefs’ 18. Kirk Cousins’ pass to Ashton Jeanty fell incomplete with 11:37 remaining in the quarter.
The Chiefs secured the win when Xavier Nwankpa intercepted Cousins with 10 seconds left. The final recap and game record preserve the scoring sequence, statistics and live updates.
