Leon Draisaitl scored the go-ahead goal at 17:33 of the third period, and the Edmonton Oilers beat the Seattle Kraken 3–1 at Rogers Place on October 3. Connor McDavid and Ryan Shea assisted on Draisaitl’s goal, which broke a 1–1 tie.
McDavid added an empty-net goal at 18:55, with an assist from Vasily Podkolzin. Owen Michaels had opened the scoring at 2:51 of the first period, assisted by Alex Formenton. Bobby McMann tied it for Seattle on the power play at 9:06 of the second, with assists from Jordan Eberle and Chandler Stephenson.
