Joey Ortiz is on Milwaukee’s National League Division Series roster against San Diego after abdominal, groin and right knee injuries left his postseason availability uncertain.

The Brewers announced a 26-man roster Saturday with 13 pitchers and 13 position players. Ortiz missed the final weekend of the regular season after injuring his knee against a wall in foul territory during Milwaukee’s last road series in Philadelphia.

Dustin May and Kyle Harrison also made the pitching staff. Milwaukee has announced Jacob Misiorowski for Game 1 and Logan Henderson for Game 2. A later start for May remains a possibility, rather than an announced assignment.

The inclusion of Ortiz gives Milwaukee another option at third base after his strong finish at the plate. MLB.com reported that he hit .341 with an .884 OPS from August 2 through the end of the regular season.

The series opens Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET, 6:30 p.m. MDT. TSP’s Padres–Brewers guide covers the matchup and full schedule.
