Kawhi Leonard signs Raptors extension reportedly worth $115 million

The Raptors confirmed a contract extension for Kawhi Leonard on September 23, extending the forward's second stay in Toronto beyond the coming season.

Sportsnet's Michael Grange reported that the agreement adds two years and $115 million, covering 2027-28 and 2028-29. The final season includes a player option, according to Grange's reporting.

Leonard, 35, returned to Toronto this offseason from the Clippers. His first Raptors season ended with the franchise’s 2019 championship, when he was named NBA Finals MVP.

The extension follows a season in which Leonard averaged 27.9 points and 6.4 rebounds for Los Angeles. The reported player option gives him the choice of remaining under the agreement for 2028-29 or returning to free agency.
