Junior Caminero’s BP Homer Hits FOX’s World Series Pregame Set
The batting-practice blast came before Friday’s opener.

Junior Caminero sent a batting-practice home run into FOX’s World Series pregame set before Friday’s Game 1 in Milwaukee, an incident MLB documented in an official 36-second clip.
The ball landed on the studio desk and damaged a microphone, Awful Announcing reported. Its report said the crew was not yet in full show mode when Caminero’s drive cleared the left-center-field fence.
The practice swing preceded a quieter night at the plate for the Rays third baseman. According to the official Game 1 box score, Caminero went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a strikeout in Tampa Bay’s 3–2 loss.
His fourth-inning double sent Jonathan Aranda to third base. Caminero also drew a ninth-inning walk as Tampa Bay threatened Milwaukee’s lead, but the Rays finished without a hit in six at-bats with runners in scoring position.
Caminero acknowledged the desk afterward, Awful Announcing reported. MLB’s clip carries an October 24 publication date, after the Friday incident.
