John Marino Week to Week With Upper-Body Injury
Marino’s return date remains unsettled.

Utah defenseman John Marino is week to week with an upper-body injury and was ruled out of Saturday’s game against Tampa Bay, RotoWire reported, citing Brogan Houston of the Deseret News.
He missed the Mammoth’s previous two games, and RotoWire reported Saturday that he was expected to miss several more, citing Brogan Houston of the Deseret News.
Through his nine appearances of the 2026–27 season, the 29-year-old had two goals and three assists. RotoWire also listed eight shots on net and four blocked shots in that span.
Nick DeSimone could continue to receive a larger role while Marino is unavailable, according to RotoWire’s assessment of Utah’s defense.
RotoWire projected an early-November return at the earliest, but that was the site’s outlook. The club’s week-to-week designation did not provide a fixed date for Marino to play again. His absence against Tampa Bay extended the interruption that began earlier in the week.
