Kyrie Irving Sits Out Spurs Game for Left Knee Injury Management
Dallas ruled Irving out after his 24-point performance against Indiana the previous night.

Kyrie Irving was ruled out of Dallas’ October 24 game against the San Antonio Spurs for left knee injury management, RotoWire reported, attributing the update to The Athletic’s Christian Clark.
The absence followed Dallas’ 121-105 win at Indiana on Friday. Irving scored 24 points in that game, giving the Mavericks their first victory under coach Dusty May.
Irving’s status changed during Saturday’s buildup. An earlier report had listed him as questionable while Dallas managed his surgically repaired knee. The later out designation superseded that uncertainty for the Spurs matchup.
RotoWire noted that Irving had played only a few games since returning from the ACL injury he sustained in March 2025. Its report identified Monday’s game against Miami as his next opportunity to play, without establishing that he had been cleared for it.
Cooper Flagg also missed Dallas’ home opener after an MRI revealed a mild left shoulder sprain. The Mavericks said he would be reevaluated next week.
