McVay Says Myles Garrett Will Return to Rams Practice This Week
The Rams plan to begin the pass rusher’s return window, while his first game back remains undecided.

Myles Garrett will return to Rams practice this week, coach Sean McVay said Monday, beginning the next stage of the pass rusher’s recovery from arthroscopic knee surgery.
Garrett has been on injured reserve since mid-September. He appeared in Los Angeles’ season opener after missing much of training camp with knee irritation, then underwent the procedure. His planned return to practice does not establish when he will be available for a game.
McVay declined to set that timetable in his Monday update. “I want to be careful to even set any sort of expectations,” he said, according to ESPN’s Sarah Barshop. The coach said the Rams would evaluate how Garrett responds as his practice work resumes.
The club is also considering opening tight end Terrance Ferguson’s return window this week. Ferguson has missed five games on injured reserve after spraining his ankle in Week 3 against Denver. McVay described his practice return as more likely than not, without confirming it.
Los Angeles faces Washington on Sunday. Garrett’s practice workload and recovery response will determine the next steps before a game return is set.
