Ravens Turn to Jake Moody for Thursday With Tyler Loop Injured
Jesse Minter says Moody will handle kicking duties against Jacksonville while Loop deals with a groin injury.

Jake Moody will kick for the Baltimore Ravens against Jacksonville on Thursday, coach Jesse Minter announced Monday, with Tyler Loop dealing with a right groin injury.
Loop did not participate in Monday’s walkthrough and could go on injured reserve, according to the Ravens’ official update. The Ravens’ Tuesday practice report said he was expected to go on IR, without announcing a completed transaction.
Moody is on Baltimore’s practice squad after rejoining the club on October 20. He must be elevated or added to the active roster to handle Thursday’s game duties. The change identifies the kicker expected to be available for that matchup without settling Loop’s longer-term status.
Loop has made 13 of 17 field-goal attempts this season. Against Buffalo on Sunday, he missed from 34 yards before making a 26-yard attempt. He also sent the opening kickoff out of bounds.
Moody, a former third-round pick by San Francisco, has made 64 of 82 field goals and 107 of 110 extra points in his NFL career, the team said. His next assignment comes during a short preparation week for the Ravens.
