Nick Suzuki Returns to Canadiens’ Top Line at Practice; Jets Status Still Questionable
Suzuki worked with Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovsky on Monday. His availability for Winnipeg on November 3 remains unconfirmed.

Nick Suzuki practiced with the Montreal Canadiens on Monday, November 2, but remained questionable for Tuesday’s home game against the Winnipeg Jets because of an upper-body injury.
The Canadiens captain worked between Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovsky during drills at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard, according to the club’s practice report. The session lasted nearly an hour.
Montreal announced on October 22 that Suzuki would miss two to four weeks. He has missed five games after recording five goals and seven assists in his first nine appearances of the season.
His participation has not yet produced a confirmed return date. Suzuki also joined the morning skate before Montreal’s October 31 game against Pittsburgh, then remained out of the lineup. The NHL’s November 2 status report continued to list him as questionable for Winnipeg.
Kirby Dach missed Monday’s practice because of illness after also sitting out against the Penguins. Goaltender Sam Montembeault skated separately before the team session and remained day to day.
The Canadiens enter Tuesday on a five-game winning streak. Puck drop against Winnipeg at Bell Centre is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST on November 3.
