The Oklahoma City Thunder will retire Russell Westbrook’s No. 0 on February 7, 2027, when they host the New York Knicks at Paycom Center, the team announced Monday.

Westbrook retired in August after 18 NBA seasons, including 11 with the Thunder franchise. His will be the second number retired by Oklahoma City. The new announcement sets the ceremony date rather than marking another change in his playing status.

The guard finished his Thunder career as the franchise’s leader in games played, points, rebounds and assists. His Oklahoma City totals include 821 games, 18,859 points, 5,760 rebounds and 6,897 assists, according to the team’s release.

Westbrook won the 2016–17 NBA Most Valuable Player award after averaging 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists. His 42 triple-doubles that season remain an NBA single-season record. He helped Oklahoma City reach the 2012 NBA Finals during a run that included nine playoff appearances in his 11 seasons with the franchise.

The Thunder said additional details about the number-retirement event would be released later. The announcement does not yet provide a complete ceremony schedule or viewing plan.
