American Express Expands NBA and WNBA Partnership Into Global Markets
The expansion adds international activations and selected NBA Global Games. American Express’ planned NBA ID program is due to launch during the season.

American Express expanded its NBA and WNBA partnership into global markets Monday, adding international fan events and selected overseas games to its existing basketball sponsorship.
The leagues’ announcement describes the first season of international activations under the multiyear agreement, which also includes USA Basketball, the NBA G League and NBA Take-Two Media.
American Express will become presenting partner of selected NBA Houses, the league’s fan experiences built around viewing parties, player appearances and other activities.
It will also serve as an associate partner of selected NBA Global Games: Denver–Indiana in Mexico City on November 7 and New Orleans–San Antonio games in Paris on January 14 and Manchester on January 17. Those designations do not make American Express the title sponsor of every overseas game.
The agreement also includes USA Basketball activations and access for eligible card members to purchase tickets to selected events. Availability and terms vary by offering.
American Express and the NBA plan to launch a connected NBA ID program during the season, allowing eligible card members to link their accounts for benefits. The announcement describes that program as forthcoming.
The parties did not disclose financial terms for the global expansion.
