Report: Rafael Câmara to Replace Ocon at Haas for Brazil and Las Vegas
GE’s Rafael Lopes reports that Câmara is set to make two starts before his previously announced 2027 race seat.

Rafael Câmara is set to race for Haas at the São Paulo and Las Vegas Grands Prix, replacing Esteban Ocon, according to a Tuesday report by GE’s Rafael Lopes.
The two reported appearances would bring forward Câmara’s Formula 1 race debut. Haas previously announced the Brazilian for a 2027 seat, but the new report concerns starts during the current season.
Lopes reported that Ocon’s contract would be ended after disagreements during the Mexico City weekend. The report did not include a new Haas announcement confirming the two 2026 starts.
Ryo Hirakawa drove the car in Mexico and finished 10th. According to GE, his World Endurance Championship commitments help create the opening for Câmara in São Paulo.
Câmara’s Formula 2 title pursuit would limit him to the Brazilian and Las Vegas races under the reported arrangement. GE says Hirakawa is expected to return for the closing rounds if those events go ahead.
The report separates Câmara’s already announced 2027 role from the additional races now being discussed for 2026.
