Vikings–Lions Under Way: TV Channel, Streaming and Radio Coverage

Vikings–Lions is under way at Ford Field after a scheduled 1 p.m. EST kickoff. U.S. viewers need the regional FOX feed or a qualifying stream.

The Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions are under way at Ford Field on Sunday, November 1, following a scheduled 1 p.m. EST kickoff. FOX carries the Week 8 game in selected U.S. markets, including the Twin Cities.

Minnesota’s official viewing guide identifies KMSP FOX 9 as the local television outlet. The game is a regional FOX assignment, so a channel carrying NFL coverage does not necessarily carry this particular matchup. Check the local program listing before settling on a viewing service.

FOX One is a streaming route for the telecast where available. A live television subscription carrying the appropriate local FOX station can also provide access. Yahoo’s game guide lists YouTube TV, Fubo and DirecTV among the available services, subject to local channel availability.

For U.S. viewers outside the assigned broadcast area, NFL Sunday Ticket is the relevant out-of-market Sunday afternoon package. It serves a different purpose from a subscription carrying local FOX: the local station’s coverage area determines which feed is available.

NFL+ offers live local and primetime regular-season games on phones and tablets. Its mobile restriction matters for anyone planning to use a television. A subscription should be checked against the intended device and local game availability rather than assumed to unlock every screen.

Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady call the FOX telecast, with Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi reporting from the sidelines. The Vikings list Paul Allen, Pete Bercich and Ben Leber for their radio coverage on KFAN and the Vikings Audio Network.

Minnesota entered 6-0 as the league’s only unbeaten team. Detroit entered 4-2, making this an NFC North meeting between winning clubs. The Lions are the home team.

The time above is Eastern Standard Time, which applies after Sunday’s clock change. The 1 p.m. listing was the scheduled kickoff, not the start of a separate pregame show. This guide covers U.S. viewing availability; international subscriptions and listings may differ.
