Cease, Messick and Schlittler Join Misiorowski, Sale and Sánchez as Cy Young Finalists
The six finalists were announced Monday. The American and National League winners will be revealed November 11 on MLB Network.

Dylan Cease, Parker Messick and Cam Schlittler are the American League Cy Young Award finalists, while Jacob Misiorowski, Chris Sale and Cristopher Sánchez make up the National League field announced Monday, November 2.
Both winners will be revealed November 11 on MLB Network’s awards show beginning at 7 p.m. EST. The finalists are the top three finishers in each league’s voting. BBWAA members submitted their ballots before the postseason, so October results do not change the awards race.
Schlittler led the AL with a 1.95 ERA for the Yankees. Cease posted a 2.40 ERA and 239 strikeouts in 169 innings during his first season with Toronto. Cleveland’s Messick had a 2.56 ERA and 193 strikeouts in 186⅓ innings; he is also an AL Rookie of the Year finalist.
Misiorowski led the majors with a 1.80 ERA and 252 strikeouts for Milwaukee. Atlanta’s Sale finished with a 2.16 ERA and 200 strikeouts, while Philadelphia’s Sánchez recorded a 2.91 ERA and 231 strikeouts over 207 innings. Those figures cover the 2026 regular season.
