Dodge Returns to NASCAR Cup in 2027 With Kaulig Racing
Kaulig will field two Dodge Chargers next season. The team plans to announce its drivers during championship weekend, with the race car reveal set for December 4.

Dodge will return to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2027 with Kaulig Racing, adding a fourth manufacturer to the sport’s top division for the first time since its departure after the 2012 season.
The manufacturer announced the move Monday at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. NASCAR confirmed that Kaulig will field two Dodge Chargers, alongside the Chevrolet, Ford and Toyota entries already competing in Cup.
The team’s 2027 drivers have not been announced. Kaulig’s announcement says the lineup will be revealed during championship weekend at Homestead. Dodge plans to unveil its Cup race car December 4 at the Snowball Derby in Pensacola, Florida, with the reveal streamed on FloRacing and the NASCAR Channel.
The Cup return follows Stellantis bringing Ram back to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Kaulig in 2026. The organization will serve as the anchor team for both brands, but the two programs compete in different series: Ram in Trucks and Dodge in Cup.
Dodge last competed in Cup when Brad Keselowski won the 2012 championship. NASCAR lists 217 Cup victories for the manufacturer, with its most recent win coming at Dover that season.
Dodge’s first points-paying Cup start is scheduled for the 2027 Daytona 500 on February 21. It also gives NASCAR its first additional Cup manufacturer since Toyota joined the series in 2007.
