Panthers put Xavier Legette on IR; Coker still questionable
Carolina placed Legette on injured reserve and elevated Ja’seem Reed as Jalen Coker’s availability remains unsettled for Sunday night.

The Carolina Panthers placed wide receiver Xavier Legette on injured reserve Saturday and elevated receiver Ja’seem Reed and cornerback Robert Rochell for Sunday night’s game against Detroit, the team announced.
Legette had already been ruled out with a knee injury. He was hurt against Atlanta in Week 2 and missed the following game. Saturday’s move extends his absence beyond the Lions matchup.
Jalen Coker remains questionable with a quadriceps injury. Carolina said Reed provides depth while Coker’s availability is evaluated. An elevation is not confirmation that Coker will miss the game.
The Panthers also announced that right tackle Monroe Freeling cleared concussion protocol and was cleared to play. He had been listed as questionable Friday.
Lions–Panthers is scheduled for 6:20 p.m. MDT Sunday. See the Week 4 watch guide for the broadcast listings.
