NBA General Managers Pick Spurs for Title and Wembanyama for MVP
San Antonio receives 50 percent of championship votes in the annual survey, with Oklahoma City close behind at 43 percent.

The San Antonio Spurs are the leading championship choice in the NBA’s annual general managers survey, receiving 50 percent of the votes. Oklahoma City followed at 43 percent, giving the Western Conference rivals most of the support before the regular season.
Victor Wembanyama also led the MVP voting with 77 percent and was the choice of 93 percent when executives were asked which player they would select to start a franchise. The NBA’s published results describe both figures as survey records.
The survey covers 48 questions, and general managers cannot vote for their own teams or personnel. Its results record executive expectations rather than award ballots, betting prices or a prediction that the season has already been decided.
Philadelphia received 73 percent of the votes for the best overall offseason moves. Indiana was the leading choice to improve most, at 43 percent. Those responses show how much the executives’ expectations depend on roster changes and returning personnel, alongside San Antonio’s combination of an established star and a young supporting core.
