Manchester United lose 2–0 at Atlético as winless run reaches five
Pablo Barrios and Ademola Lookman score as Leny Yoro is sent off in United’s Champions League defeat.

Atlético Madrid beat Manchester United 2–0 in the Champions League Tuesday, extending United’s winless run to five matches. Pablo Barrios scored in the opening minute, and Ademola Lookman added the second after Leny Yoro was sent off.
Yoro received a straight red card following an on-field review for denying Jonathan David a goalscoring opportunity. Atlético also had a first-half goal disallowed after Marcos Llorente was judged to have handled the ball during the buildup.
United created chances to level before the second goal, with Bruno Fernandes hitting the crossbar and Bryan Mbeumo sending a deflected effort narrowly wide. Sky Sports reported that United created four big chances without scoring.
The result leaves United on three points after two league-phase games. Michael Carrick’s side next visits Como in the competition on October 21. Wednesday’s Champions League schedule includes Manchester City against Paris Saint-Germain and Roma against Real Madrid, with viewing information in the existing TSP watch guide.
