Lamar Jackson was limited in Wednesday’s practice because of a back issue as the Baltimore Ravens began preparing for their Week 4 game against the Tennessee Titans.
Coach Jesse Minter described the quarterback’s issue as something small. Jackson’s listing did not establish his game-day availability; Baltimore still had further practices and its final injury report ahead before Sunday’s home game.
The Ravens enter the matchup at 2–1 after beating Dallas 34–31 in Rio de Janeiro. Tennessee is 0–3. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern on Sunday.
Jackson was among several Baltimore starters listed as limited Wednesday. Wide receiver Zay Flowers had a hamstring issue, left tackle Ronnie Stanley was managing a toe injury, and guard John Simpson appeared on the report with a groin problem.
Cornerback Marlon Humphrey was also limited with a hamstring injury. Wide receiver Chris Moore had an ankle issue, and tight end Durham Smythe was listed with a heel injury.
Pass rusher Trey Hendrickson did not practice because of a finger injury. Center Ethan Pocic was also absent with a knee injury, adding to Baltimore’s difficulties in the middle of its offensive line.
The Ravens lost another center, Jovaughn Gwyn, to a fractured fibula during the Week 3 game in Brazil. NFL Network reported that he would need surgery and was expected to miss roughly two to three months.
Baltimore responded to its line injuries by bringing in guard Kyle Hergel and adding veteran center Andre James to the practice squad. The moves came as the club assessed its options following the Dallas game.
Baltimore’s most recent win came on a last-second field goal from Tyler Loop in Brazil. The Ravens beat Dallas 34–31 after Jackson connected with Flowers during the closing seconds to put the kicker within range.
The Ravens now return home to face Tennessee. Jackson’s Wednesday designation records limited participation with a back issue; his availability will be determined through the remaining practice reports and the final game-status announcement.
