Kings exploring Connor Hellebuyck trade, Seravalli reports
Los Angeles has checked the asking price for Winnipeg’s goaltender, according to Sportsnet. A trade has not been announced.

The Los Angeles Kings have explored the cost of acquiring Connor Hellebuyck from the Winnipeg Jets, Sportsnet’s Frank Seravalli reported Thursday.
Seravalli wrote that Kings general manager Ken Holland has at least established an understanding of Winnipeg’s asking price, and that Hellebuyck apparently would accept a move to Los Angeles. The depth of the talks remains unclear.
The report describes interest and internal deliberations. Neither club has announced a trade agreement.
Los Angeles started 0–3–2, leaving its front office to weigh an immediate upgrade against the cost of surrendering future assets. Seravalli identified that decision as a complication for one of the league’s older rosters.
Winnipeg had already acknowledged listening to offers for its goaltender. Hellebuyck’s contract runs seven seasons at an average annual value of $8.5 million, with the current season its third year, according to NHL.com.
Any completed move would require more than an expression of interest. Thursday’s development puts the Kings among potential destinations while the terms and timing remain unresolved.
