Kenny Clark and Rashan Gary return to Lambeau with Cowboys seeking a defensive turnaround
The former Packers teammates face Green Bay as visitors and reunite with defensive assistant Mike Pettine in Dallas.

“I think it starts up front for sure,” Kenny Clark said as he discussed Dallas’ defensive approach to Green Bay.
Clark and Rashan Gary return to Lambeau Field on Sunday night for their first game there as visiting players. The former Packers teammates addressed the trip in comments published by the Cowboys on October 14.
Clark arrived in Dallas through the 2025 Micah Parsons trade. Gary followed in a March trade. They spent six seasons together in Green Bay.
For Gary, the familiarity accompanies an immediate opponent: “it’s just another opponent, another team that’s in the way of where we’re trying to go.”
They also reunite with Mike Pettine, Dallas’ new senior defensive assistant. He coordinated Green Bay’s defense from 2018 through 2020.
The matchup puts their defensive front against a struggling running game. Green Bay averaged 60.4 rushing yards through its first five games, while Dallas allowed 168.4 per game, according to the Packers’ Sunday matchup report.
