Janibek Alimkhanuly and Jacob Bank are scheduled to fight for the vacant WBO super middleweight title on January 23, 2027, at Forum Horsens in Denmark.

Bank’s promoter, Primetime Boxing, announced the date and venue Friday, Danish boxing outlet Fighting.dk reported. Bank, who is from the Kolding area, will challenge for a major world championship in his home country.

The title became vacant after Hamzah Sheeraz relinquished it. Bank is ranked third by the WBO, while Alimkhanuly was installed as its top contender after moving up from middleweight.

Alimkhanuly is unbeaten at 17-0 with 12 knockouts and previously held the IBF and WBO middleweight championships. A victory over Bank would give him a world title in a second weight division.

Bank is 20-0 with 11 knockouts and has won all three of his fights in 2026, two by stoppage, according to The Ring. That run includes a 12th-round stoppage of former IBF super middleweight champion William Scull on January 31.
