Jackson Koivun has joined Motor City Golf Club for its first TGL season in 2027, the league and club announced on October 5. The 21-year-old becomes an announced teammate of five-time major champion Brooks Koepka on the Detroit expansion team.

Koivun arrives after an unbeaten Presidents Cup debut at Medinah, where he went 2–0–1 and beat Si Woo Kim 2 up in singles. The United States won 17–13 after overcoming a three-point deficit on the final day.

He earned his first PGA Tour victory at the 3M Open in July, in his third professional start. Before turning professional, Koivun helped Auburn win NCAA team championships in 2024 and 2026.

Motor City said further roster announcements would follow in the coming weeks. Koivun and Koepka are the players identified in the October 5 announcement; the full inaugural roster has not yet been named.
