Briscoe sweeps stages and wins NASCAR Cup race in Las Vegas
Chase Briscoe leads 175 laps and beats Kyle Larson by 1.376 seconds after a tense final-lap finish in the South Point 400.

Chase Briscoe won the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 4, sweeping both stages and leading 175 of the race’s 267 laps for his second NASCAR Cup victory of the season.
The Joe Gibbs Racing driver finished 1.376 seconds ahead of Kyle Larson. The margin widened after a final-lap incident between Larson and Tyler Reddick, who had closed to within four-tenths of a second of Briscoe.
Larson hit the outside wall, and Reddick made contact with his car before sliding through the infield grass. Both recovered sufficiently to retain second and third place. Austin Cindric and Ryan Blaney completed the top five.
Larson increased his championship lead over Denny Hamlin from 26 points to 40. Hamlin, who started from pole, finished 16th after a midrace spin.
NASCAR confirmed Briscoe’s victory after postrace inspection found no issues. Five races remained in the championship, with the Cup Series scheduled to return to Charlotte’s oval for the Bank of America 400 the following weekend.
