Bills extend Joe Andreessen through 2028 on two-year deal
The Western New York native has a new contract after becoming a regular on Buffalo’s special teams. The Bills confirmed the extension Saturday.

The Buffalo Bills signed linebacker Joe Andreessen to a two-year contract extension Saturday that will keep the Western New York native with the team through the 2028 season.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the agreement is worth $5 million, including $3 million guaranteed. Buffalo confirmed the extension without disclosing its financial terms.
Andreessen earned his first Bills contract after a rookie-minicamp tryout in 2024. He has since appeared in 33 games and made three starts, while becoming a regular contributor on special teams.
The Bills said he led the team with 21 special-teams tackles in 2025, tied for fourth in the NFL. He has five through the first three games of 2026.
Andreessen attended Lancaster High School and played his final college season at Buffalo. The unbeaten Bills host New England on October 4 at 1 p.m. ET, 11 a.m. MDT.
