Max Verstappen won the October 10 Singapore Sprint after George Russell crashed from the lead on the first lap and McLaren’s drivers collided late in the race.

Rain delayed the start by about half an hour. The field began on intermediate tires, with parts of the Marina Bay circuit wet and others drying.

Russell passed polesitter Verstappen at the start but hit the wall at the final corner of the opening lap. Verstappen regained the lead and held it through the restart.

Lewis Hamilton finished second and Charles Leclerc third. Kimi Antonelli moved into fourth after Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri made contact at Turn 5. Norris finished eighth, while Piastri stopped.

Stewards reviewed Norris and Piastri’s collision but imposed no penalty. Liam Lawson, Ollie Bearman and Nico Hulkenberg filled the next three positions behind Antonelli.

The result is for the Sprint. The Singapore Grand Prix was scheduled for Sunday, October 11.
