Adrian Meronk wins Dunhill Links for fifth DP World Tour title

Adrian Meronk won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews on October 4, collecting his fifth DP World Tour title and his first since the 2023 Andalucía Masters.

The tour said the victory ended a 1,078-day wait. Meronk returned to the tournament where he made his first professional start in 2016 and finished the week with both the individual trophy and the team title alongside musician Tom Chaplin.

Meronk and Casey Jarvis traded the lead during the final round before the Polish golfer moved ahead on the back nine. The tour’s report identified the stretch around the 11th and 12th holes as the point when Meronk took the outright advantage.

The victory also resolved an immediate career concern. Meronk had entered the tournament 141st on the Race to Dubai rankings, and the tour confirmed that the win secured his status.

The DP World Tour’s separate winner’s fact sheet identified Meronk as the first Polish player to win the Dunhill Links Championship. His previous tour victories came in Ireland, Australia, Italy and Spain.
