Abdul Carter returned to practice Friday but remains questionable for the New York Giants’ Week 6 home game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

The outside linebacker was a limited participant after missing Wednesday and Thursday with a calf injury, according to the Giants’ final injury report. His return gave him his first practice participation of the week; the questionable designation leaves his game availability unresolved.

Carter has started all five Giants games this season. The team’s official statistics credit him with 14 total tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble. He recorded five tackles, a sack and a forced fumble in last Sunday’s 27-27 tie at Washington.

Both starting offensive tackles also returned on a limited basis Friday. Andrew Thomas, who has a groin injury, and Jermaine Eluemunor, who has a calf injury, are questionable after sitting out the first two practices.

New York ruled out cornerback Colton Hood with a concussion, tight end Theo Johnson with a neck injury and safety Tyler Nubin with a neck injury.

The Giants enter 3-1-1, while the Saints are 1-4. Kickoff at MetLife Stadium is scheduled for 11 a.m. MDT Sunday, October 18.
