WNBA Finals Resale Prices Rise as Valkyries and Dream Prepare for Game 1

A Thursday market snapshot put the lowest Game 1 asking price at $214. Prices are changing as Atlanta releases more seats.

The lowest listed resale price for WNBA Finals Game 1 was $214 on Thursday afternoon, substantially above last year’s opener, according to TicketData figures reported by Front Office Sports. Golden State hosts Atlanta at Chase Center on Saturday.

The report compared the Thursday asking price with a final $34 entry price for last year’s Game 1 in Las Vegas. Those are snapshots taken at different points in the sales cycle, so they should not be treated as final prices paid by every spectator.

Atlanta has released additional inventory after arrangements allowed Finals games at the 17,000-seat State Farm Arena. Its smaller regular-season home, Gateway Center, holds about 3,500. The Dream will open the full NBA arena for the Finals rather than retain the closed upper bowl used earlier in the playoffs.

Prices for Atlanta games fell after Thursday’s presale releases, illustrating how new supply changes the market. Fans comparing costs should check the current listing and the total including fees. The reported figures describe the secondary market, not a single official face value for the series.
