“It seems like his brain short circuits” Josh Allen’s decisions questioned

“They thought removing him from the room would somehow dramatically change the team. I never understood it,” Tom Byrne said of Buffalo’s decision to move on from Sean McDermott.

On Mad Dog Sports Radio, Byrne was responding to Bill, a caller introduced from Chevy Chase, Maryland, who questioned how different the Bills looked despite their offseason changes.

“Tom, this team is exactly the same team it’s been for the past three years. It’s incredible looking at them,” Bill said. “I mean, nothing has changed, which is not to say they’re no good, you know. But all this ‘this year is different’ stuff, it’s a bunch of nonsense.”

Buffalo promoted Joe Brady from offensive coordinator to head coach, with Brady retaining offensive play-calling duties. The Bills also hired Jim Leonhard from Denver as defensive coordinator.

Byrne said the caller’s assessment matched what he had predicted before the season, describing McDermott as “a highly respected defensive mind.”

Bill also questioned Allen’s decisions at certain moments, while emphasizing his regard for the quarterback.

“I think very highly of Josh Allen,” Bill said.

“Tom, there are just moments when it seems like his brain short circuits and he just does the weirdest things.”

“Everybody’s got their shortcomings. It’s just something I see in Allen,” he added.
