Robinson on Wembanyama’s Mentality
Wembanyama led the MVP question in the annual general managers survey; San Antonio was the leading championship choice.

Wembanyama entered the season as the leading MVP choice in the NBA’s annual general managers survey, receiving 77 percent of the votes. He also received 93 percent when executives were asked which player they would choose to start a franchise.
San Antonio received 50 percent of the championship votes, ahead of Oklahoma City at 43 percent. Those figures describe preseason expectations. General managers could not vote for their own teams or personnel in the 48-question survey.
