Julian Strawther faces a six-week reassessment after spraining his left knee during Wednesday’s preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Denver Nuggets’ timetable calls for another evaluation, with no confirmed return date.

Strawther played 57 regular-season games in 2025–26, including 14 starts. He averaged 7.2 points in 15.1 minutes and shot 38.7% from three-point range. He shot 46.7% overall from the field during the season. Those appearances followed a larger role the previous season, when he averaged nine points across 65 games.

Across his first three seasons, Strawther has played 172 regular-season games for Denver and made 18 starts. He appeared twice in the Nuggets’ most recent playoff series after playing nine postseason games in 2025.

The former Gonzaga guard entered the NBA as the 29th pick in the 2023 draft. Denver has used him primarily off the bench: 154 of his 172 regular-season appearances have come as a reserve.
