Laver Cup 2026: Brandon Nakashima replaces Ben Shelton in London

Team World adds a debutant for September 25-27, while Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz are among the players representing Europe.

Brandon Nakashima will make his Laver Cup debut for Team World when the competition returns to London's O2 from September 25 to 27, replacing Ben Shelton in Andre Agassi's squad.

Team Europe includes Alexander Zverev, who beat Shelton to win the US Open, and Carlos Alcaraz, who reached the quarterfinals in New York on his return from injury. Yannick Noah captains the European side.

Nakashima arrives after reaching the Montreal final and Cincinnati semifinals during the North American hard-court season. He joins Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur, Learner Tien, Alexander Bublik and Francisco Cerundolo on Team World.

Europe is trying to regain the trophy from the defending champions. The roster change confirms Nakashima's place in the event, while the captains' selections will establish his individual matches once the competition begins.
