Karolina Muchova Secures Final WTA Finals Singles Berth
The Czech player completes the eight-player field after a season with two titles.

Karolina Muchova has secured the eighth and final singles place at the WTA Finals in Indian Wells, the tour announced Wednesday. The Czech player is positioned to make her first appearance at the season-ending tournament after injury prevented her from competing when she qualified in 2023.
Muchova completes a field that includes Elena Rybakina, Aryna Sabalenka, Mirra Andreeva, Linda Noskova, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula and Elina Svitolina. The singles competition begins with round-robin play.
Her qualification follows a season with titles on two surfaces: the WTA 1000 event in Doha on hard courts and the WTA 500 tournament in Bad Homburg on grass. She also reached the Stuttgart final on clay and finished runner-up at Wimbledon, her second Grand Slam singles final.
The singles lineup is now settled, while one doubles place remains available. The WTA also confirmed doubles qualification Wednesday for Hsieh Su-Wei and Jelena Ostapenko, as well as Ellen Perez and Demi Schuurs.
