Jalen Carter playing through wrist fracture, Inquirer reports
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Carter has played with a hairline fracture since Week 1. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio says the wrist restriction affects his play.

Jalen Carter has been playing with a hairline fracture in his right wrist since Philadelphia’s season opener, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Thursday, citing sources familiar with the injury.
The report said the Eagles defensive tackle suffered the injury against Washington and wore a soft cast in the following two games. The fracture detail comes from the Inquirer’s reporting; it was not presented as a new diagnosis announced by the team.
Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio acknowledged Wednesday that the wrist restriction affects Carter.
“It’s a negative,” Fangio said, according to the Inquirer.
Fangio also said Carter had done better with the restriction than he initially expected. Carter’s snap share fell from 94 percent in Week 1 to 77 percent against Tennessee and 71 percent against Chicago, the report said.
Carter had not recorded a sack through the first three games. Philadelphia had three sacks as a team and had yet to force a takeaway. Those totals describe the defense’s start; they do not establish how much of its production is attributable to Carter’s wrist.
The Eagles host the Rams on Sunday, October 4, at 1 p.m. ET, 11 a.m. in Edmonton. FOX has the U.S. broadcast. CTV Alberta and CTV British Columbia are among the Canadian feeds carrying the game.
