Iowa quarterback Hank Brown is questionable for Friday’s game at Washington after injuring his right shoulder against Ohio State, coach Kirk Ferentz said Tuesday.

Brown told reporters he had an AC joint sprain. Ferentz said Brown remained limited and Iowa could not prepare on the assumption that he would start, Hawkeyes Wire reported.

Jeremy Hecklinski replaced Brown in Saturday’s 31-14 loss to Ohio State and completed all five of his passes for 67 yards. Ferentz said Iowa was ready to play whichever quarterback was available.

Brown has started Iowa’s first five games. The Hawkeyes visit Washington on October 9.
