Rawlings announced the finalists for the 2026 Gold Glove Awards on Wednesday, with the winners scheduled to be revealed November 1 during a special edition of ESPN’s Baseball Tonight at 6:30 p.m. MT.

Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong and Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. are among the nominees. Crow-Armstrong is seeking a second straight Gold Glove, while Witt could win the American League shortstop award for the third consecutive season.

Seattle second baseman Cole Young is a finalist alongside Kansas City’s Michael Massey and the Chicago White Sox’s Chase Meidroth. Young led AL second basemen with 157 games played and 16 defensive runs saved, according to FOX 13 Seattle.

Managers and up to six coaches from each team vote on the nine standard defensive positions in their league and cannot select their own players. The SABR Defensive Index accounts for roughly one-quarter of the selection total. Utility winners are determined through a separate defensive formula developed by Rawlings and SABR.

Online Platinum Glove voting opens after the November 1 broadcast. That award combines the fan vote with the SABR Defensive Index to choose one winner in each league. The Platinum Glove winners will be announced November 6 at the Gold Glove ceremony in New York.
