Eagles place Tank Bigsby on injured reserve after Rams game
Philadelphia moved the running back to injured reserve after he left Sunday's game, adding to uncertainty around the backfield with Saquon Barkley injured.

The Philadelphia Eagles placed running back Tank Bigsby on injured reserve Tuesday, October 6, after he was hurt against the Los Angeles Rams, the team announced.
Bigsby left late in the fourth quarter Sunday following a rushing attempt and an evaluation by medical staff. He had taken on more carries after Saquon Barkley departed in the first quarter with a hamstring injury.
The Eagles did not identify Bigsby’s injury in their announcement. ESPN reported Monday, citing NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, that Bigsby had a core muscle injury requiring surgery. Rapoport’s sources expressed hope he could return within six weeks; that remains a reported estimate.
Bigsby has 91 rushing yards on 28 carries this season. Philadelphia also released linebacker Anfernee Orji from its practice squad Tuesday.
