Clippers lose Max Strus to foot injury, reevaluation set in four weeks
Strus suffered a partial tear of the plantar fascia in his right foot during Sunday’s preseason game against Golden State.

Los Angeles Clippers guard Max Strus will be reevaluated in four weeks after suffering a partial tear of the plantar fascia in his right foot, the team announced Monday.
Strus sustained the injury during Sunday’s 104-101 preseason win over the Golden State Warriors in Hawaii. The evaluation date is not a confirmed return date.
The Clippers acquired Strus from Cleveland in August as part of a five-team trade. He averaged 11.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in 12 games for the Cavaliers last season after missing the first five months with a broken left foot, The Associated Press reported.
Los Angeles opens the regular season at home against the Sacramento Kings on October 21. Fellow offseason addition Brandon Ingram is also sidelined with an Achilles injury.
