DETROIT — New York Jets running back Breece Hall left Sunday’s 31–24 loss to the Detroit Lions with a thigh injury, adding an immediate personnel concern to a second consecutive defeat.
Hall was hurt in the fourth quarter on a tackle near the goal line at Ford Field. The Jets ruled him out for the remainder of the game. Further details about the injury and any timetable for his return were not immediately available.
Yahoo Sports reported that Hall went to the medical tent after being tackled by Detroit linebacker Trevor Nowaske near the sideline. The confirmed designation was a thigh injury; there was no announced diagnosis establishing how much time, if any, he would miss beyond Sunday.
Hall finished with 32 rushing yards on 13 carries and three receptions for 23 yards. His 55 yards from scrimmage accounted for a modest part of New York’s production on a day when quarterback Geno Smith moved the ball effectively through the air.
