Bašić penalty gives Bosnia and Herzegovina 1–0 win over Poland
Ivan Bašić converts in the 84th minute in Zenica, leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina second in Nations League Group B4.

Ivan Bašić’s 84th-minute penalty gave Bosnia and Herzegovina a 1–0 win over Poland at Bilino Polje in Zenica on October 5. The hosts finished the international window second in UEFA Nations League Group B4 with eight points from four games.
The penalty followed a foul on Esmir Bajraktarević in the area. The referee awarded the kick after a VAR review, and Bašić converted for the only goal, the Bosnian federation reported.
Bosnia had earlier been denied an opening goal when Haris Tabaković’s finish was ruled offside. At the other end, goalkeeper Martin Zlomislić made important saves and Nikola Katić cleared from the goal line before halftime.
Sweden’s 1–0 win in Romania left the group leaders on ten points, with Poland on four and Romania without a point. Bosnia visits Sweden on November 14 before hosting Romania on November 17.
